"My religion is love and
compassion, because these are the qualities necessary
for everyone.
That we follow or not a religion tradition, love
and compassion are without exception appreciated
by all human beings. Our objective is not to create
other Buddhists, but to create other enlightened
beings. When you teach Buddhism, do not encourage
people to become Buddhist, but instead, encourage
them to cultivate inside themselves qualities of
love, compassion, universal responsibility, wisdom."

Presentation
Mindfulness Project is an association made up of researchers,
psychologists, trainers and Buddhist teachers dedicated
to the investigation of the dialogue between Western
thoughts and Buddhist dharma.
The objective
Our objective is to contribute a productive encounter
between two different schools of thought. From this
view point we would like to explore the theoretic forms,
but above all the practical forms. This encounter could
be more efficient and productive to the interior growth
and spiritual needs of individuals developing mindfulness
as the method, wisdom as the essence, and compassion
as the expression.
The approach
We want our approach to be open and non sectarian in
the attempt to not waste any opportunity that is able
to demonstrate itself useful. Personal psychological
development is considered essential not only to permit
spiritual growth but also for all transformation of
suffering.
The context
We are entering into a field of research developed in
the last years. We believe that this research can give
suggestions not only on how to live Buddhism in an efficient
way, but also how to integrate it into the daily professional
and practical needs of the Western world.

We are searching to bring out
our vision with these activities:
• The
conferences/conventions:
have as a main subject “The
development of the mind's potential
in the confrontation between
the West and the Orient"
and dig deeper into specific
arguments at every meeting.
Generally, they are set up in
interactive and experimental
forms.
• The school of
counseling: a School
of Counseling which integrates
Western psychology and Buddhist
thought in the context of the
helping relationship.
• The continuing
professional training:
These training courses, aimed
at mental health specialists
interested in the argument,
are dedicated to the merging
of the Buddhism model in its
Western version and the various
Western psychotherapy approaches.
The interaction between Buddhism
and therapy surely puts in the
foreground a dimension of wisdom,
compassion and ethics as the
therapist's "indispensable
luggage".
